There is no greater error than to believe that we, as anarchists, need only to commit any deed, no matter when, where and against whom. To have a propaganda effect, every deed needs to be popular; it must meet with approval by an important part of the proletariat. If that is not the case, or if it actually meets with the disapproval of the very part of the population it is intended to inspire ... anarchism makes itself unpopular and hated. Instead of winning new adherents, many will withdraw.
