Vaikuttaa olevan hyvinkin persläpeä porukkaa toi MOVEn sakki.

Luin niiden kirjan, niiden oman nettisivun ja yhdestä zinestä haastattelun. Tuli erittäin selväksi että he ovat uskonnollinen liike (omien sanojensakin mukaan), vastustavat homoja/lesboja, abortteja, harjoittavat henkilöpalvontaa jne.

Toisin sanoen tyyppien arvot ei kovin monilta osin eroa perus uskonnollisten fundamentalistien jutuista. Erikoiseksi asiasta tekeekin lähinnä se miten vuodesta toiseen jaksaa joku anarko- tms muka sorron muotoja vastustava liike tukea noita sekopäitä. Varsinkaan kun heillä ei ole edes minkäänlaista kykyä tuottaa edes sisällöllistä tai edes menevää tekstiä mikä voisi hetkellisesti sekoittaa anarkomarkojen päät.

Ei voi sanoa, että "Sataman tyypit" haluavat yhtään mitään yhden leffanäytöksen perusteella. Mistä helvetistiä sä tiedät jos näytöksen järjestävat Sataman aktiivit ja millä perustein kyseiset henkilöt sen tekevät. On muutenkin täysin absurdia, että joka leffanäytöstä ennen vaadittaisiin, että talon väki selvittää taustat elokuvan aiheelle.

Kumma juttu mutta minusta se ei kuulosta lainkaan absurdilta tai mahdottomalta vaatimukselta tsekkailla mitä filmiä talossa pyöritetään...

Mutta joo, myönnetään että toi johtopäätös että Sataman tyyppien haluista oli hitusen epäasiallinen ja mautonta yksinkertaistamista, populismia joku voisi jopa sanoa. Pahoittelen moista ja koitan välttää toistamasta alitajuntaani iskostetun yksinkertaistamisen logiikan uusintamista jatkossa.

Tuossa kutsussa kyllä selvästi sanotaan, että dokkari-ilta järjestetään MOVE:n jäsenten ehdonalaisen tukemiseksi, se ei mun mielestä suoraan merkkaa, että tuettaisiin niiden kaikkia ajatuksia. Mustaihoisten "amerikkalaisten" istuttaminen vankilassa kolmenkymmenen vuoden ajan ilman että he ovat tehneet mitään on vaan vähän perseestä... Mutta eihän näitä ihmisiä saa tukea, takaisin linnaan vaan! Täällä on taas sitä anarkistien solidaarisuutta parhaimmillaan.

Eikös se Mumia Abu-Jamal voitais myös jo teloittaa, kun tukee näitä homofobeja? Ja kaikkien pitäisi boikotoida Howard Zinniä, koska oli kertojana MOVE dokkarissa?

No nyt joku muu heittää sitä epäasiallista populismia. Joten vedänpä takaisin aiemmat anteeksipyytelyni, kun se onkin näköjään yleinen puhetapa tässä topikissa ;)

Mustien amerikkalaisten istuttaminen vankilassa turhaan... Aika asiallista reagointia kritiikkiin teikäläisellä.

Tässä toistuu taas sama ikuinen kuvio, sen sijaan että aletaan keskustelemaan itse asiasta (MOVEn ideologiset ongelmat) aletaan syyttelemään (viittaus noihin aavistuksen typeriin johtopäätöksiin ihmisten vankilassa istuttamisesta ja anarkistisesta solidaarisuudesta) kommentin esittäjää ja tehdään tyhjiä oletuksia.

Mitäs jos alkaisitte keskustelemaan sen sijaan että heittelisitte surkeita läppiä ja välttelette sen varjolla itse asian/aiheen käsittelyä.

Anteeksi häiriö, jatkakaa...

Pikaisesti Mumiasta. Mumia oli itse myös ennen homofobi. Siteerasi erästä John Africaa kertoessaan homoseksuaalisuuden olevan epäluonnollista. Tämä oli siis 90-luvun alkupuoliskoa muistaakseni. Sitten siitä kimpaantui homo jos toinen, luultavasti muutama anarkistikin. Alkoi keskustelu asiasta. Mumia muutti mielipiteensä ja pyysi anteeksi. Myöhemmin hän on puhunut pro-gay juttuja ja kehoittanut kuulijoitaan homoliikkeen tukijoiksi.
African perhe (MOVE 9) ei sen sijaan ole suostunut keskustelemaan asiasta, irtisanoutuivat sentään homojen muilutuksen tukemisesta. Uskonnolliset kiihkoilijat kuten Ramona Africa (se on se tyyppi kuka kiertelee läntistä maailmaa kertomassa MOVEsta) eivät keskustele asiasta eivätkä muuta näkemyksiään. John kerran niin sanoi niin asia on sillä selvä.

Mitä tulee teloittamiseen, se ei liene nykyisin anarkistien toimintatapojen piirissä, vaan taitaa olla enemmän teksteihin kuuliaisesti tuijottelevien uskovaisten heiniä. Lisäksi on mainittava tuon olevan aika omituinen kommentti.

Mun käsityksen mukaan filmi itsessään ei keskity juuri lainkaan Move:n ideologiaan, vaan valtion heihin kohdistamaan brutaaliin väkivaltaan. En nyt löydä tähän hätään haastista, mutta oli tietoinen valinta elokuvantekijöiltä, ilmeisesti eivät olleet niin innoissaan järjestöstä itsestään, mutta näkivät tapauksen mielenkiintoisena. Ja onhan se. Mun mielestä katsomisen arvoinen filmi, mutta julkisessa näytössä hyvä tuoda esiin Move:a kohtaan esitetty osuva kritiikki. Keskeisin pointti kuitenkin kai että jenkkilässä tosi brutaalit meinigit, ja toisaalta että jos yrittää linnoittautua johonkin tönöön, niin voi tulla valtiolta pahasti pataan.
